Just got this in my mail yesterday. It has a grave tone to it and I haven't heard much from Joe in a while so I hope it's not too serious.

Joe also wishes to thank each of you who has written him such caring and compassionate emails and cards. It means a lot to him.

Mon, May 23, 2005 - 5:29 PMHopefully all turns out well and he creates something out of it. Unfortunately misery is great fodder for creativity. I hope he isn't miserable, but I know that if/when he gets better he'll make the most of it. -
