Re: joe in san francisco
Tue, November 30, 2004 - 5:33 PMIt was much better than I thought it would be. Not to say that Joe isn't great but I just thought that sitting there watching someone read for an hour + would be kind of boring (I tend to get antsy). On the contrary, Joe was very entertaining and I think his stories do well in a live setting. In addition to him at a podium reading he wove a bit of video into his act and also had a dancer and trumpeter that made a few appearances. I think a live band or DJ would have been a great addition but maybe that's something for next time. I can't wait to see him the next time he comes around.
By the way, I posted a picture in the gallery that I took of the marquee of the GAMH the night of the show. Not too exciting but... -
